MONTRÉAL IN “AEROSPACE” MODE Aerospace will be front and centre in Montréal next week! I am very proud of the program we have put together for the fourth edition of International Aerospace Week - Montréal, which will be held around two major events organized by Aéro Montréal.
MONDAY APRIL 16 and TUESDAY APRIL 17 – THE AEROSPACE INNOVATION FORUM (Palais des congrès de Montréal) This sixth edition of the Forum will be held on the theme “Aerospace in the era of disruptive technologies.” We are expecting nearly 1,000 attendees and more than 80 speakers from such prestigious companies as Airbus, Bell, Bombardier, Embraer, Leonardo Aircraft Division, NASA and many SMEs from our ecosystem. We are very pleased to be welcoming several ministers representing the various levels of government. Several will also be speaking, including the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Mrs. Dominique Anglade, Québec’s Vice Premier and Minister of the Economy, Science and Innovation. A special luncheon-conference will be held on Monday, April 16th on the theme: “Expanding Airline Operations With New Aircraft Technology ” featuring Mr. Alain Bellemare, President and Chief Executive Officer, Bombardier, and Mr. Calin Rovinescu, President and Chief Executive Officer, Air Canada. The Chamber of Commerce of Metropolitan Montréal, partner of the day, will hold a luncheon-conference featuring well-known speakers during this event. Watch a panel discussion on aerospace sector development levers in the face of labour shortages, including: • Managing knowledge transfers between future retirees and their successors; • Integrating newcomers and young talent by matching training and employment in the sector; • Raising the proportion of women in the aerospace sector. .
