The International Aerospace Week – Montréal 2018 is fast approaching: have you reserved your place for the Aerospace Innovation Forum? This event sells out year after year. It will be held this year under the theme: “Aerospace in the era of disruptive technologies.” Every year it brings together nearly 1,500 participants and generates an equal number of B2B meetings. The event is also an opportunity to attend world-class conferences; you will hear from well-known executives from top-tier companies such as Airbus, Bell Helicopter, Bombardier, Embraer, Leonardo Aircraft Division, NASA, and many more. We’ll keep you informed over the next few days.

DEFENCE AND NATIONAL SECURITY WORKING GROUP Webinar on the IDÉeS Program – March 13 – REGISTER NOW Aéro Montréal is offering you the opportunity to participate in a workshop on the IDÉeS program. This activity will be part of the Aerospace Innovation Forum 2018 and is being organized in collaboration with the Department of National Defense and CRIAQ/CARIC. The objective of the workshop is to promote the IDÉeS program and help companies identify opportunities related to the needs/capabilities presented and to initiate business collaborations with other industrial partners. If you are interested in attending the Aéro Montréal workshop and CRIAQ’s RDV Forum project ideas session, we recommend you participate in our information webinar that will be held on March 13, 2018. This webinar will provide all the details and answer your questions about the workshop and the project ideas session. A first session of the webinar will take place in French from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A second session of the webinar will be held in English from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Registration in advance is mandatory.
SUPPLY CHAIN WORKING GROUP A new program coming soon: MACH FAB 4.0 in collaborative mode! In 2018 you’ll be able to participate in collaborative projects under the MACH FAB 4.0 initiative. The working group is currently preparing a program that will encourage collaboration among companies to promote the implementation of digital solutions for common issues. Details to follow shortly!
HUMAN RESOURCES WORKING GROUP International Women’s Day – Maison des régions de Montréal (March 8) This activity is being organized by the Regroupement Relève d’Aéro Montréal to raise awareness among students and professionals about the important role women play in the aerospace sector. In association with the Québec Breast Cancer Foundation, we want to inspire and motivate young women to pursue their careers in this field. This event is open to everyone and you will be able to hear from a variety of speakers, including Nathalia Di Battista, Manager, Cabin Interiors, at Air Canada Engineering. A visibility plan is also available.
AéroPortail: Vitrines 2018 – Career event – Palais des congrès de Montréal (April 20) Meet with more than 1,000 specialized candidates and professionals seeking new challenges in aerospace. This event will bring together companies that want to hire and schools and universities that will present their technologies and training programs. More than 30,000 jobs will be created in aerospace within the next 10 years. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with specialists and set yourself apart. The day will also include student presentations on an aerospace industry. GROWTH WORKING GROUP The first meeting of the new Cercle de partage des meilleures practiques d’affaires d’Aéro Montréal (business best practices sharing circle) took place on February 16th. A dozen SME executives from Abipa Canada, Lev-Fab, Luxia Innovation Ltd., Rasakti Inc., SF Tech, TRAF Industrial Products Inc., Thermetco and Varitron talked about their organizations and visited Techniprodec.
