Meloche Group proudly receives “Supplier Gold” certification from United Technologies Corporation

Meloche Group has been awarded “Supplier Gold" certification by United Technologies Corporation, a special designation given to companies that demonstrate exceptional and sustained performance. Hugue Meloche, President and Chief Executive Officer of Meloche Group, and his team welcomed members of Pratt & Whitney’s senior management to the company’s headquarters in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield on August 31st to mark this major milestone.

“We are very proud to be certified as a Gold supplier, which is the remarkable culmination of an initiative we launched in 2013,” said Mr. Meloche. “I want to thank all the employees and management of the company who worked with such commitment and enthusiasm in this very rigorous process. This certification allows us to look to the future with even more optimism because it enables us to strengthen our business relationship with the large Pratt & Whitney and United Technologies family.”

The Supplier Gold certification program is an accreditation process that features several milestones that companies need to pass to demonstrate their ability to meet United Technologies’ high quality, cost and delivery standards, as well as rigorous requirements in terms of delivery and performance.

“Meloche Group is a long-time supplier of Pratt & Whitney Canada and has been an important part of the next-generation PurePower® PW1000G engine program,” said Maria Valerio, Vice President, Supply Management, Pratt & Whitney Canada. “By obtaining Supplier Gold certification, Meloche Group has reaffirmed its preferred supplier status for this major engine program.”

Meloche Group, a leading Canadian supplier of machined components and sub-assemblies for the aerospace and defence industries, provides small machined parts for Pratt & Whitney’s next-generation family of PurePower® PW1000G engines, which power the Bombardier CSeries, the Airbus A320neo aircraft and the Mitsubishi (MRJ) regional aircraft. The company signed a 10-year contract worth nearly $30 million with Pratt & Whitney in June 2015 at the International Paris Airshow.
