Aéro Montréal will hold its Annual General Meeting on May 8 at the Cosmodôme in Laval. (event sold out) On this occasion, we are very pleased to welcome Ms. Manon Brassard, Deputy Minister and President of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Québec. The CED plays a leading role in enabling us to support our SMEs in their development. At the AGM, Ms. Brassard will present the CED’s 2021 Strategic Plan. This will be an exceptional opportunity for each of our members to learn about this practical tool in support of their development based on the major orientations established by the CED. Thanks to this new plan, the CED intends to pursue its mission by focusing on innovation, sustainable growth, economic diversity and the development of a more inclusive economy. Mr. Marc Demers, Mayor of Laval, will be our host for this event and will welcome us at the Cosmodôme in Laval

Discovery tour of aerospace trades On April 26th, about 30 guidance counselors and school and vocational training counselors took part in a discovery tour of the aerospace trades where they had the opportunity to visit the plants of L3 MAS and SAFRAN Landing Systems in Mirabel. They were also able to talk with representatives of the École de métiers de l’aérospatiale de Montréal (ÉMAM) and the École nationale d’aérotechnique (ENA). This event, organized by Aéro Montréal and CAMAQ, enabled the counsellors to enhance their pedagogical approach to better support students in choosing an aerospace trade, to discuss the many advantages offered by our industrial sector, and to raise awareness about the various professions (from skilled worker specialized in engineering to technician). You can view the photos by clicking here.
