Aéro Montréal was present last week at the “Rendezvous national” workforce meeting in Québec City during which Québec Premier Phillipe Couillard announced the creation of a national workforce strategy. Workforce and succession issues are among the main challenges faced by our SMEs, who are constantly looking for qualified professionals. Aéro Montréal is pleased with this announcement because it responds to all the points raised in our White Paper entitled “Propelling the talents of aerospace towards aerospace 4.0,” including future skills and the need to continue efforts to promote careers among young people. Also, in a major first for the next generation: Aéro Montréal, through its AeroPortal, last Friday held its first webinar with CAE. The event, broadcast live on the AeroPortal’s Facebook page, was an extraordinary success. To date, nearly 1,500 people have viewed the video and submitted questions to the company and human resources representatives.
