2016 Canadian Aerospace Summit The 2016 Summit offers you special access to the entire Canadian aerospace industry. On November 15 and 16 in Ottawa, join more than 1,000 participants - mostly senior executives and senior government officials - to discuss opportunities for collaboration and growth. Airbus Defence & Space On October 24, Aéro Montréal had the opportunity to meet senior executives of Airbus Defence & Space during their visit to Montréal. The company is a long-time partner of Pratt & Whitney Canada and CAE, and is positioned as a prime contractor candidate for the Department of National Defence’s Fixed-Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) Project. Airbus Defence & Space has expressed an interest in establishing collaborations with Québec aerospace companies, especially SMEs. Aéro Montréal and Airbus Defence & Space agreed to continue their discussions on this issue in the coming weeks.
REMINDER – Many events coming up in the Defence sector Many events related to the Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) Program are planned for the coming weeks. Companies bidding for major defence programs will be in Montréal and in Ottawa to identify Québec partners who can help them fulfill their ITB obligations.
