Hello all,
In these early days of 2018, I’d like to draw your attention to several major events being organized this year by Aéro Montréal. Every event responds to a need expressed by our member companies – SMEs, OEMs or integrators – with the goal of supporting their development. Year after year, we are bringing together more and more industry players from Québec and around the world as part of our events. Don’t miss them!
INTERNATIONAL AEROSPACE WEEK – MONTRÉAL 2018 (April 16-20 - Palais des congrès de Montréal) - The Aerospace Innovation Forum (April 16-17) Organized this year under the theme: “Aerospace in the era of disruptive technologies,” the Forum is the largest gathering of aerospace leaders in Canada! It brings together nearly 1,500 participants and generates an equal number of B2B meetings. See the program and register asap: the event sells out every year.
- AéroPortail: Vitrines 2018 – Career Day (April 20) Meet with more than 1,000 specialized candidates and professionals seeking new challenges in aerospace. This event will bring together companies that want to hire and schools and universities that will present their technologies and training programs. More than 30,000 jobs will be created in aerospace within the next 10 years. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet with specialists and set yourself apart. The day will also include student presentations on an aerospace industry case study and conclude with a luncheon organized by the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal featuring a well-known speaker.
During this week will also take place the CRIAQ’s Rendez-vous Forum (April 18-19) and the Aéro Cyber Summit (April 19-20).
TRADE MISSION to JAPAN (June 1-8) Aéro Montréal and the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montréal invite you to participate in a trade mission that will provide you with a special opportunity to forge links with the Tokyo business community in Japan.
QUÉBEC MISSION TO THE FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW (July 16-20) The government is once again organizing a special mission to this trade show. All SMEs are invited to participate in the annual flagship event of the international aerospace industry. Full details will be provided in the coming weeks.
THE AÉRO MONTRÉAL GOLF CLASSIC (August 27 – Elm Ridge Country Club) Mark down this summer’s must-attend event in your calendar! Year after year it allows us to bring together nearly 400 participants representing all the players in the Québec aerospace ecosystem. This year, we will be introducing a new formula that will appeal to everyone! More information will be sent to you in the coming weeks.
THE GILLES-DEMERS AWARDS & GALA DINNER (October 26 – Location to be determined) This event, held every two years, is designed to recognize the extraordinary performance of our SMEs. You have until April 20 to SUBMIT YOUR NOMINATION! The categories recognized are: Wealth Creation and Expansion/Commitment to Innovation/Business Development and Internationalization.
FINANCING SEMINAR AND HOLIDAY NETWORKING DINNER (November 26 – Location to be determined) This event enables us to meet at the end of the year and discuss key issues related to the financing of your company. Several conferences will be organized during the afternoon, while a renowned speaker will conclude the day during a networking dinner. More information to follow.
