Hello all,
In recent days, the aluminum and steel tariffs announced by the US and Canadian governments (at rates of 10 per cent and 25 per cent, respectively) have received our full attention. To support our SMEs, which will be the first to be impacted by the Canadian government’s countermeasures on steel and aluminum, we have responded to the Canadian Minister of Finance’s invitation to provide our opinion.
TARIFFS ON STEEL AND ALUMINUM Our ecosystem operates on an international basis. Because supply chains are extremely complex and integrated, an aircraft component can cross borders several times, including those with the United States. Aerospace companies will be affected by both US and Canadian tariffs. The impacts, which are worth millions of dollars, are direct and indirect.
