In this regard, our partnership with the Ontario Aerospace Council (OAC), finalized during the 2015 International Paris Airshow, entitles all Aéro Montréal members to OAC member prices for their events. Be sure to take advantage of this benefit starting on October 25th at OAC’s Aerospace Unplugged event being held in Toronto. I also want to draw your attention to the 28th Women in Aerospace Annual Conference taking place in Montréal from October 19 to 21. This is the largest gathering of women leaders in aerospace. Montréal Civil Aviation Week kicks off in only a few days – from Monday, September 26 to Tuesday, October 4. It is being organized as part of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) 39th Triennial Assembly and the World General Assembly of Airports Council International (ACI). These activities reaffirm Montréal’s position as a major aerospace hub and world capital of civil aviation. Aéro Montréal will be holding two major events during Montréal Civil Aviation Week: Gilles-Demers Prize Gala Dinner – SME of the Year in Aerospace – a meeting place for the entire aerospace industry! This year we are holding the second edition of this event which is specifically designed to recognize the leadership and excellence of SMEs in Québec’s aerospace sector. Case Study Competition: Towards a 100% recyclable aircraft This is a public event to be held at the École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) on October 1st and will highlight student case studies on developing a 100% recyclable aircraft. During the event, presentations will be made on this issue by representatives of Bombardier and Air Transat.  Also, take a look at the brief on the future of Montreal’s manufacturing sector that we just published. This document was submitted to the Commission sur le développement économique et urbain et l’habitation. In this brief, we demonstrate the significant contribution the aerospace industry makes to Québec’s economy and underscore that it is one of the best performing manufacturing sectors. Suzanne M.
